今回は上智大学のデビッド・スレーターさんをお招きし、カルチュラル・タイフーン2016の準備研究会「共同研究のためにオーラル・ナラティヴ・メソッドを使うこと：東北311から東京SEALDSsまで」を開催します。
スレーターさんは、2011年から「東北からの声(Voices from Tohoku)」というプロジェクトを行い、500時間以上の映像オーラルナラティヴのアーカイヴを作ってきました。最近ではSEALDsなど日本の社会運動の映像アーカイヴに取り組んでいます。今回は、その経験をもとに方法論から具体的な研究成果まで幅広く語ってもらいます。興味のあるかたはどなたでもお気軽にご参加下さい。

Using Oral Narrative Methods to Do Collaborative Research: from 3.11 Tohoku to SEALDs Tokyo
We are going to invite Professor David H Slater (Sophia University, Tokyo) to hold a pre-workshop for Cultural Typhoon 2016. He is giving a talk on his oral narrative archive project for Tohoku since 2011 and protest movements in Japan. All who are interested will be welcome.

David H. Slater is a professor of cultural anthropology and director of the institute of comparative culture at Sophia University in Tokyo. He has run the Voices from Tohoku Project (tohokukaranokoe.org) since 2011, the largest video oral narrative archive of 3.11 in the world with more than 500 hours of footage; and it now working on Voices of Protest Japan (voicesofprotestjapan.org).
